How DictofAI works
DictofAI is built for many definitions on one topic—so ideas, opinions, and experiences can sit side by side instead of competing for a single “official” line.
Titles and entries
Each title is a topic or term people want to discuss. Under that title, anyone who is signed in can add entries: short posts that might be a definition, a clarification, a critique, a story from practice, or a link to a source. There is no requirement that every entry sound the same, because real conversations rarely do.
Why multiple definitions matter
Fast-moving fields—especially around AI—reuse words in different communities, companies, and cultures. One glossary entry cannot capture that richness. DictofAI is meant to hold layered meaning: technical senses, informal usage, cautious warnings, and enthusiastic takes, all attached to the same title so readers can compare and choose what fits their context.
Subjectivity, objectivity, and how to read
Many entries are subjective: they reflect a person’s understanding, values, or experience. That is a feature. Subjectivity helps surface what people actually believe and how language is used in the wild.
Objective claims—facts that can be checked, measurements, citations—are welcome too. When you have them, show your work: point to documentation, papers, or primary sources so others can verify. DictofAI does not pick a winner between voices; readers are responsible for judging what is convincing, provisional, or plain wrong.
In short: we optimize for expression of multiple definitions, opinions, and experiences freely, while encouraging everyone to stay honest, specific, and respectful of others who may disagree.
